Past Projects
Tree Frog Gallery
February 2011
A quick little “business card” web site for the Tree Frog Gallery on Mayne Island. The Chamber of Commerce brochure and web site are getting a refresh now, and there will be a bit of an emphasis (particularly in the brochure, where space is limited) of linking to additional information.
This site will likely see a bit of an evolution in the future, but for now — just small, simple and sweet.
Twisted Pig Food Productions
December 2010
Twisted Pig Food Productions is Mayne Island, BC’s only BBQ delivery service.
We took care of the web site, and printed materials for Twisted Pig, right from the logo design right through to production.
The web site is built on tumblr, so it’s super easy to update and add to.
HelpMeApp
In Development
HelpMeApp is being built on the premise that “bug trackers suck”. They’re so over-complicated, and they sit in such isolation. HelpMeApp is going to tie in to a number of third party products, and has an extremely robust API so that it can be tied into existing workflows.
HelpMeApp is in development, and likely will be available sometime in 2011 (at least, we’ll be using it quite a bit in 2011!)
Brainfile
In Development
Brainfile is a micro-version control system that lets you work with the tools you already know and love. Version control systems like SubVersion, git or Mercurial are pretty complicated for the folks that are just trying to collaborate on a Word Document. Brainfile will fill the gap.
Interface Fire & Safety
Ongoing
We’re currently working with Interface Fire & Safety to get their web site off the ground. We’ve handled the design and development of the web site, and we’re rolling it out in Perch CMS so that it’ll be easy to update and add to in the future.
Oceanwood Resort
Ongoing
Working with The Erickson Group, we re-designed and continue to maintain the web site for the Oceanwood Resort on Mayne Island, BC. Industry Interactive took care of the XHTML, CSS and PHP on this project, while The Erickson Group handled the overall design.
Patrick Akerman
December 2010
We gave Patrick Akerman, a Saltspring Island-based realtor a new online identity. We started by tying into the Victoria Real Estate Board’s MLS listing system so that Patrick’s listings are always up to date. Next, we designed a clean, beautiful and professional web site for Patrick to help show off those listings.
Tree Frog Gallery
Ongoing
We take care of all of the print advertising work for the Tree Frog Gallery on Mayne Island. We started with business cards, then produced a sale flyer. Next, we re-designed their gift certificates, and then designed a series of advertisements that have run in the local news magazine, the Mayneliner.
Arbutus Cottage Spa
Ongoing
We’ve been handling a bunch of interesting print projects for the Arbutus Cottage Spa lately. We started with the design of a sale flyer that later morphed into a series of full page advertisements in the Mayneliner. Next, we designed a sticker for use on the spa’s merchandise and finally the design and installation of a 3 foot by 2 foot perforated window film to improve the spa’s street presence.
RE/MAX Mayne-Pender & Saltspring Island
September 2010
We cleaned up the design of these sister web sites, and built in a number of advanced features like a listings search, and Google Maps integration. We also set things up to update automatically for the real estate board listings so that everything stays current and up to date.
Edison Creative Group
July 2010
We did a quick markup job for Edison Creative Group, taking their web site mockup, and turning it into standards-compliant XHTML and CSS.
The Erickson Group
February 2010
The Erickson Group is a bit of a co-conspirator of ours. We’ve done a few projects together, and kind of like scheming together. So when they launched a new web site, it was only natural that Industry Interactive provided the markup.
We later converted their web site over to use Frog CMS to make it easy to care for and keep updated.
Cobworks
October 2009
Cobworks needed an update to show off the high quality natural building projects they’ve been working on. We thought that giving them a high quality (albeit somewhat quirky) web site would fit the bill.
The Cobworks web site is chock-full of pictures and information about natural building and the workshops they offer. We flattened out the structure, and made it easy to update and navigate.
Damage Control
January 2010
We did everything from the logo design to business card and web site design and production for Damage Control, a Mayne Island-based cleaning company.
Buhler Moving & Storage
September 2009
Working with The Erickson Group, we handled the technical aspects of this project. They handed us a PSD of the design, and we produced standards-compliant XHTML and CSS to display the web site.
Gardenia
March 2010
We produced a spring sale flyer for Gardenia and followed up with a sticker used for their bags and merchandise.
Mailmanagr
Ongoing
Mailmanagr is our first foray into the Software as a Service arena. It provides better e-mail integration with the popular project management system, Basecamp.
Mailmanagr is a “freemium” service, providing limited free accounts to a large number of clients, and an enhanced, paid version for a small monthly fee. We handled all aspects of Mailmanagr’s development, building off of the excellend Basecamp API.
Milo Anderson
January 2010
Milo Anderson, a Calgary-based realtor was looking for a web site that would be easy for his office staff to keep updated, but that would also provide advanced functionality such as a client-only area, a blog and integration with listings.
This Wordpress-based project uses a wide variety of plugins in order to provide the functionality requested by the client.
Dawson Photography
September 2009
We built a quick web site for Dawson Photography to help show off their work, and to allow them to share images with clients.
We handled the design, markup and backend development of the Dawson Photography web site.
Industry Images
March 2010
We had a long-standing relationship with INDUSTRYimages (and to some degree, we still do). We worked with them over a number of years to build up both their public web presence, and their back-of-house client extranets and asset management systems.
We have now passed the torch on the bulk of the INDUSTRYimages web work, but continue to assist and consult in various parts of their web site.
During our time with INDUSTRYimages, we handled the bulk of the HTML, CSS and backend work on their site, working with their team of in-house designers.
